Sheffield United Women FC

Bramall Lane · Sheffield
9th · Super League Two Subway Players Cup

Sheffield United Women were founded in 2002 as Sheffield United Community Girls and Ladies, growing from grassroots and community roots into the women's side of the historic Blades. Carrying the men's club's red-and-white identity and Bramall Lane heritage, they climbed the pyramid over the following two decades to reach the second-tier Women's Championship, becoming an established name in the higher reaches of the English women's game. A notable milestone came when they were given the chance to play home matches at Bramall Lane itself — one of the oldest professional football grounds in the world — bringing the women's team onto the same famous stage as the men. Nicknamed the Blades and based in Sheffield, they've built a reputation as one of Yorkshire's leading women's clubs, with a best finish to date of fourth in the second tier.
