Swindon Town Women FC

Swindon Town Women were founded in 1993, formed when several players broke away from the long-established Swindon Spitfires — a club dating back to 1967 and one of the oldest women's sides in England. They played their first competitive fixture that September, a 4-1 away win over Southampton Reserves, and made an immediate mark by winning their South West Regional division at the first attempt, following up with two more league titles in the next two seasons. Affiliated to Swindon Town FC and nicknamed the Robins, they play their home games close to the men's County Ground in Wiltshire. With a focus on player development and growing the women's game across Swindon and the county, they've established themselves as a competitive side in the FA Women's National League.
